Build Smart Australia

Build Smart has been in the construction industry for a long time, much longer than Storytime has existed. They have been operating for over 15 years and pioneered the efforts that brought aluminium angles to the Australian market. When we came on board, our job was to review current marketing efforts, work out a strategy and story, and develop content.

 

 

Story

The Build Smart story is rich - full of experience and heritage. It just hadn’t been written down.

 

To do this, we spent time with David and the team to establish not just the origins of the brand, but the aspirations, the goals they had, and the stories they had collected along the way.

 

These efforts resulted in a cohesive approach to all of the content, branded elements, promotional campaigns, and offers we put together when managing the Build Smart brand.

 

 

Strategy

Because this was an established business with years of reputation to lean on, we had certain advantages to how we approached the strategy. At the centre was a continuous content effort and email newsletter, which distributed updates to the readership on a monthly basis.

Content, Design, Systems

To support the brand strategy and efforts to solidify Build Smart as a brand and expose it to new people. A continuous effort was made to ideate, produce, approve, and distribute content across key Build Smart channels.

 

This meant that for a two-year period between 2020 and 2022, a new batch of content - from videos to images to email newsletters - was created and distributed for Build Smart.

 

Systems

• We managed the email marketing systems.

• We looked after paid promotions on Facebook and Instagram.

• We supported the business with an on-call content creation service
